The Gothic Fantasy Artwork of Joseph Vargo
The haunting artwork of Joseph Vargo opens a gateway to the darkside and dares the viewer to venture within. While his work is dominated by an immense and memorable array of ominous and often nightmarish entities, his timeless images are also permeated with tremendous beauty, grace and symmetry. His art has achieved a resonance and popularity partially because of this ability to shed light on the inner demons that lurk in the shadows of the mind, while also not forgetting the sometimes majestic grandeur that resides there as well.
This lavish 9"x12" volume features over 100 original paintings and illustrations of vampires, gargoyles, ghosts, dark angels, and nightstalkers published together for the first time. With an introduction and summaries by Joseph Iorillo and additional commentaries by the artist, this volume offers comprehensive insights into Vargo's gothic domain.

Tales From The Dark Tower

Born of the night, they lurk in the shadows—gargoyles of living stone, lost souls who wander mist-shrouded cemeteries, and vampires who dwell deep within forbidden crypts. Abandon all hope, ye who enter here... Tales From The Dark Tower is an original collection of 13 sinister stories, lavishly illustrated by Joseph Vargo. Based upon characters depicted in Vargo's classic gothic paintings, each story in this unique anthology is woven together to create a new and compelling saga of vampire lore.
Vargo's haunting images provided the inspiration for this gothic anthology, which includes several of his own stories as well as those from other talented writers.

Tales From the Dark Tower is a work of art... one of the best I've had so far in my career as a book reviewer. I loved it. From the first page to the very last.
Stefan Isaksson, UFO-Sverige Magazine

Tales from the Dark Tower is one of the most remarkable horror anthologies ever assembled. It evokes all of the power of unearthly passion with an almost poetic sense of underlying terror. The stories bring to life the haunting and sensual art of Joseph Vargo in a manner that is both fascinating and horrific.
Martin V. Riccardo, author of Liquid Dreams of Vampires

Sure to be a hit among Goth-mystery lovers, this book contains all the classic elements of good vampire fictiona self-aware, disaffected and lovesick protagonist, a mythic curse and a complex legendalong with a rich display of gothic artwork.

The Gothic Tarot Compendium
The Gothic Tarot, created by Vargo in 2002, is now one of the most popular divination decks in the world. Recently, he released The Gothic Tarot Compendium, which he co-wrote with his friend, Joseph Iorillo, whom many will recognize as a regular feature writer for Dark Realms Magazine and Tales From The Dark Tower, as well as Vargo's biographer. The Compendium details and illustrates the symbolic and mythological references for each of the 78 cards, offers artist commentary and provides instructions for several tarot layouts.
